Terms of service

These terms cover every product, website and service from Ben Counsell Consulting, Sweden ("we", "us"), including our apps, browser extensions and their paid licences. By installing one of our products or buying a licence, you agree to these terms. Questions: support@bencounsell.com.

Our products

Each product's page describes what it does, which platforms it runs on, which features are free and which need a paid licence, and the price. Changes our products make on your device, such as edits to a web page you're viewing, are visible only to you.

Buying a licence

• Unless a product's page says otherwise, a licence is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The price is shown on the product's page and at checkout; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
• Orders are processed by Creem, our merchant of record and reseller. Creem handles payment, tax, invoices and refunds, and its buyer terms apply to the payment itself. We never see your card details.
• After purchase you receive a licence key by email, with instructions for activating it in the product.

Your licence

• A licence lets one person use the product, for personal or commercial work, on up to the number of devices or browsers stated on the product's page at the same time. You can move it by deactivating it on one device first.
• Licences are for the buyer only. Don't share, resell or publish your licence key; keys that are shared publicly may be disabled.
• Your licence includes the updates to the product that we release, for as long as we offer the product.
• Paid products check your licence with our licence server from time to time, and keep working offline for a period stated in the product.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Email support@bencounsell.com or reply to your Creem receipt, and we'll reply within 3 business days. After a refund, the licence key is deactivated and paid features lock again.

Acceptable use

Use our products lawfully and respect other people's rights. Don't use them to copy or republish content, designs or code you don't have permission to use. Don't try to circumvent the licence check, or copy, resell or redistribute the products.

Third-party services

Some features work with services run by others, such as AI assistants you choose to open or fonts loaded from Google Fonts. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what data we handle and why.

Disclaimer and liability

Our products are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, mention them in the product or on our website. You can stop using a product at any time by uninstalling it. We may disable a licence that's used in breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights where you live.
